With the support of European funds, a new waste recycling/sorting plant was built. Project consisted of designing sixteen belt conveyors of different lengths and widths, three different platforms, one platform where a stand for optical sorting machine was placed and a specialized chute.
This plant initially planned to sort 8,000 tons of municipal waste per year, but the amount of sorted waste can be increased to 30,000 tons per year. The sorting at the factory will result in gaining recyclable materials such as paper, cardboard, plastic, glass, ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, inert materials and RDF materials.
