Overview

With the support of European funds, a state-of-the-art waste recycling and sorting plant was established to meet modern environmental and sustainability goals. The project involved the design and implementation of sixteen belt conveyors of varying lengths and widths, tailored to handle diverse waste streams. Additionally, three platforms were constructed, including one specifically designed to support an optical sorting machine and a specialized chute for efficient material flow.

Initially designed to process 8,000 tons of municipal waste annually, the plant’s capacity can be scaled up to sort as much as 30,000 tons per year. The advanced sorting processes enable the recovery of valuable recyclable materials, including paper, cardboard, plastic, glass, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, inert materials, and RDF (Refuse-Derived Fuel). This innovative facility not only contributes to reducing landfill waste but also plays a vital role in supporting circular economy practices by maximizing resource recovery.
