Overview

The grain handling terminal underwent a comprehensive reconstruction program aimed at significantly enhancing its operational efficiency and handling capacity. To meet the unique logistical demands of the facility, advanced equipment was carefully designed and integrated, ensuring that the terminal could process high grain volumes with minimal downtime. The project scope included the modernization of existing infrastructure as well as the introduction of new mechanical systems, creating a facility capable of managing continuous and reliable grain flow.

Two independent transhipment points were established—one dedicated to grain reception by trucks and the other to rail wagons. This dual system ensures flexible and seamless operations, allowing the terminal to adapt to fluctuating transportation demands while maintaining stable throughput.

The redesigned terminal incorporated a wide array of mechanical and structural components. Key installations included two heavy-duty grain elevators, sixteen specialized chain conveyors, receiving pits, and electrically operated shutters. To guarantee precise material handling, both symmetrical and asymmetrical valves were installed, supported by grain flow brake connections. Furthermore, a network of pipes and custom-engineered transitions was developed to maintain smooth and controlled grain movement throughout the facility.

By integrating these systems into a unified platform, the reconstructed terminal now provides improved productivity, higher operational reliability, and enhanced adaptability for various grain handling scenarios. The upgraded design not only boosts processing capacity but also ensures compliance with modern safety and engineering standards. This project demonstrates SketchArt Engineering’s ability to deliver complex, large-scale industrial solutions tailored to the evolving needs of ports and bulk handling operations.
