Overview

To increase efficiency and ensure long-term reliability, a full-scale reconstruction of a screening station at a Norwegian mining facility was carried out. The project scope included the installation of new dolomite screeners and the redesign of the existing screening station to handle higher loads under demanding conditions. Two independent screening stands were engineered, complemented by hydraulically operable Rock Boxes that optimized material handling, minimized spillage, and improved durability.

Relocating the screening equipment within the factory required significant modifications to the existing infrastructure. SketchArt Engineering developed customized extensions for the belt conveyors to ensure precise compatibility with the original conveyor system. These adjustments eliminated the risk of misalignment while maintaining a seamless integration between old and new equipment.

In addition, new conveyor supports and maintenance platforms were designed and built to improve system stability and provide safe, convenient access for ongoing inspection and servicing. The platforms were engineered with safety and usability in mind, enabling operators to carry out maintenance tasks efficiently while minimizing downtime.

The reconstruction process combined advanced design solutions with robust manufacturing practices, ensuring that the final installation was both reliable and cost-effective. By carefully tailoring the modifications to the client’s operational requirements, the upgraded screening station delivered a significant increase in efficiency, better material flow control, and improved overall plant safety.
