Overview

As part of this project, SketchArt Engineering was responsible for the construction of 290 prefabricated block panels covering a total area of 4,000 m² for the Clarion Hotel. The scope of work included preparing all required production drawings, developing precise laser cutting files, and ensuring that every panel could be manufactured with maximum efficiency and accuracy. By providing this complete engineering package, we enabled smooth production and minimized the risk of errors during the fabrication stage.

A key challenge of the project was the specific climatic conditions in Norway, which required careful material selection and a focus on long-term durability. To address this, our engineers collaborated closely with Skonto Plan to integrate advanced steel solutions designed to withstand both harsh winter conditions and significant structural loads. Special attention was given to corrosion resistance and the ability of the panels to maintain their structural integrity in demanding environments.

Beyond strength and durability, the project also required that the panels fit seamlessly into the architectural design of the hotel. This meant optimizing each element not only for performance but also for precision in dimensions and connections. By combining engineering expertise with high-quality detailing, we ensured that every panel would contribute to a reliable and visually consistent façade.

The successful execution of this project demonstrates SketchArt Engineering’s ability to deliver complex, large-scale steel construction solutions that balance precision, environmental adaptability, and strict compliance with safety standards. By leveraging modern engineering tools and close coordination with manufacturing partners, we provided a solution that was not only cost-effective and reliable but also aligned with the long-term operational needs of the client.
