Overview

To support gold mining operations in Sweden, a new Jaw Crusher was introduced to significantly improve productivity and efficiency. In order to integrate this heavy-duty machine into the plant’s existing operations, SketchArt Engineering designed a custom-built crusher stand and accompanying service maintenance platforms. These structures were carefully engineered to meet the demanding conditions of a mining environment, ensuring durability, accessibility, and safe working conditions for operators performing maintenance and inspections.

The project required not only precise fabrication but also thorough structural verification. Static and modal analyses were performed to evaluate the crusher stand’s strength and its behavior under specific crushing frequencies. These calculations allowed the team to predict load distributions, prevent potential vibration-related issues, and confirm long-term operational reliability.

The steel structure was fabricated in strict compliance with ISO EN 1090-2, with all works executed to the EXC2 class standard. Special attention was paid to welding quality, with procedures and inspections carried out according to ISO 5817 Class B requirements. This ensured that every weld achieved the highest level of strength and consistency. In addition, all visual inspections were conducted by certified specialists to guarantee adherence to safety and quality standards.

Beyond meeting technical requirements, the project showcased SketchArt Engineering’s commitment to precision engineering and customized solutions. By designing components tailored to the mining sector’s operational challenges, the project not only delivered improved functionality but also provided long-term value through safer and more efficient maintenance access.
